Horth Hill

Horth Hill is a 36-hectare park on the northern end of the Saanich Peninsula. The park offers stunning views of Satellite Channel, the Saanich Peninsula, and the Gulf Islands.

Horth Hill features some of the oldest rock on Vancouver Island. About 15,000 years ago, glaciers moved over this area, shaping the land and leaving behind rounded hills called monadnocks.

Follow the summit trail of this 136-meter hilltop park to see wildflowers in spring and enjoy beautiful views year-round. Take a challenging hike through different forest areas on one of the trails in this 36-hectare hilltop park. With many native plants and mushrooms, each season offers beautiful sights for nature lovers. For great ocean views and open skies, follow the summit trail for stunning panoramas of the Saanich Peninsula, Gulf Islands, and San Juan Islands.
